Christmas is all about relaxing days on the sofa wrapped in a double duvet cover with holiday films on and goodies. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These days are the best of the whole year. And they feel extra good if you have been enjoying the snow in the morning. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. I have three favourite activities for a winter’s day which I will describe here.

Movie Day
So you have probably guessed from my introduction that my favourite activity on a cold winter’s day is to wrap up on my sofa, films at the ready with snack food in my double duvet cover. Some of my favourite flicks include The Grinch, Bridget Jones and Love Actually. If I can I will do this for the entire day, only leaving the sofa to go to the bathroom. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! But do make sure you get up in time to make it to the toilet when you need a wee!

Cooking And Baking
I love getting into the kitchen for a good bake if I have a bit of energy. When it is cold outside and you are making warm goodies, there is a small delight in the windows steaming up and closing you off from the outside world. Cookies which you can decorate in Christmas themes are my favourites. Other festive recipes include pies, cakes and soups. Not only is cooking a form of stress relief which is nice during the busy holiday season but it is also very fun, and you get to enjoy what you make!

Playing In The Snow
Something a little less relaxing but just as fun is having the traditional snow fight, making snow people and skidding around in the white powder. You can feel like a child again when you get to have a snow day. Even if you do not have children you do not have to miss out on the fun of a snow day.
